Introducing the Core and Essential
Guiding Documents
for the Hawkestone Community Hall
We’re excited to share the key documents that help keep the Hawkestone Community Hall running smoothly and effectively. These documents are essential for guiding our operations and ensuring our hall continues to be a lively hub for local activities and gatherings. Here’s a rundown of each important document. Mission, Vision, and Values with the Strategic Plan for 2024-2027
This document is all about who we are and where we’re headed! It features our Vision Statement, Mission Statement, and Core Values, and it lays out our Strategic Plan for 2024-2027. Built around our three Commitment Pillars, this plan will guide us for the next three years. It details our goals, priorities, and strategies to help us grow, enhance our wonderful community hall, and strengthen our programs to better serve our community. By following this plan, we’ll stay connected and ensure that our cherished community hall continues to be a beloved space for everyone.
Hawkestone Community Hall Constitution & Bylaws
Our Constitution and Bylaws, set to be adopted at the Annual General Meeting on October 9th, 2024, lay out the framework for how our Board of Directors operates. Approved by the board on June 5th, these documents detail the structure, roles, and responsibilities of our board members, as well as the rules for making decisions and conducting meetings. They are essential for managing the Hall with transparency, effectiveness, and fairness, always prioritizing the best interests of our community.
Board Operations Manual
The Board Operations Manual (BOM) is like our go-to guide for running the Hall every day. It works alongside our Constitution and Bylaws, providing detailed policies and procedures to keep everything on track. Think of it as our playbook for good governance, leadership, and transparency.
The BOM covers all the essentials—from organizing events and planning budgets to taking care of the hall and our code of conduct to support our amazing volunteers. With clear guidelines and consistent practices, this manual helps ensure our Community Hall remains a warm and welcoming place where everyone can enjoy great experiences.
The board approved the BOM on June 5th, 2024. As a living document, it can be updated and expanded as our needs and ideas evolve. So, as new ideas come up or changes are needed, the BOM can grow right along with us!
Call to Action
