DESCRIPTION:NIA is open to everyone. Nia participants come from all walks of life — but share a common desire to feel better\, move better\, and have fun. \nWhat is NIA?\nNia blends the best of deance\, martial arts\, and healing arts into a joyful mindful movement practice. Each session is a 60-minute\, whole-body experience that invites you to move with freedom\, awareness\, and connection. \n“But I’m not a dancer…”\nWhat are the benefits of Nia-Inspired Movement?\nBenefits often include: \n\nA greater sense of confidence and joy in their body\nBetter balance\, agility\, grace and flexibility\nImproved stamina and endurance\nIncreased strength and muscle tone\nReduced stress. Enhanced sense of calm\nLess stress and more calm\nA stronger feeling of well-being\, connection\, and community\n\nWhat to wear and bring?\n\nComfortable clothes you enjoy moving in\nBare feet are common\, but non-slip socks or soft-soled shoes also work\na yoga mat and water bottle\n\nSession Times\n(See calendar for all dates and exceptions) \n\nMondays: 4:00 – 5:00 pm\nWednesdays: 10:00 – 11:00 am\n\nCome when you can — no registration required! \nHow much does it cost?\nWe ask participants to contribute $5 per class as a donation towards the hall rental and other program costs. DESCRIPTION:Yoga with Misha is a welcoming\, community-oriented Hatha yoga class designed to support both beginners and experienced yogis. Each session includes breathwork\, options to advance or modify poses\, and a light-hearted\, inclusive environment. The class is intended to be of service to the Hawkestone community\, creating space for connection\, movement\, and presence. \nFor more information or to pre-register contact Misha Gilbert at misha.gilbert@gmail.com \nThe cost is $120 for an 8 week block (works out to $15/class)\nDrop-in are welcome at $20/class.\nFor families registering together for the full 8-week block\, enjoy a special rate — buy one\, get the second at half price.

SUMMARY:Hawkestone Singers Rehearsals - Come join us!
DESCRIPTION:The Hawkestone Singers\, an adult\, SATB choir\, rehearse at the Hall every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30pm under the direction of the very talented\, Teri Therrien. They perform a wide variety of contemporary music including classic rock\, pop movie themes\, arrangements of old standards\, jazz\, traditional folk songs\, etc. They produce 2 concerts per year in addition to performing at a number of venues in the area. \nThe cost is $125 for each of two seasons (September-December; January-May).
