DESCRIPTION:NIA is open to everyone. Nia participants come from all walks of life — but share a common desire to feel better\, move better\, and have fun. \nWhat is NIA?\nNia blends the best of deance\, martial arts\, and healing arts into a joyful mindful movement practice. Each session is a 60-minute\, whole-body experience that invites you to move with freedom\, awareness\, and connection. \n“But I’m not a dancer…”\nWhat are the benefits of Nia-Inspired Movement?\nBenefits often include: \n\nA greater sense of confidence and joy in their body\nBetter balance\, agility\, grace and flexibility\nImproved stamina and endurance\nIncreased strength and muscle tone\nReduced stress. Enhanced sense of calm\nLess stress and more calm\nA stronger feeling of well-being\, connection\, and community\n\nWhat to wear and bring?\n\nComfortable clothes you enjoy moving in\nBare feet are common\, but non-slip socks or soft-soled shoes also work\na yoga mat and water bottle\n\nSession Times\n(See calendar for all dates and exceptions) \n\nMondays: 4:00 – 5:00 pm\nWednesdays: 10:00 – 11:00 am\n\nCome when you can — no registration required! \nHow much does it cost?\nWe ask participants to contribute $5 per class as a donation towards the hall rental and other program costs. SUMMARY:Beginner Crocheting Class
DESCRIPTION:Monday nights 7- 8:30\nMarch 9\,16\,23\, 30\n$80 for 4 classes plus recommended material/tools (Approx $25) \nThis class is a perfect intro into crochet for the absolute beginner or anyone who is self taught and would like to enhance their skills. Open to  ages 12 and up. \nRecommended materials and tools will be yarn and a compatible crochet hook to start learning with and will be shared once registered. Must purchase before the first class. You can easily purchase online or at a local craft store. \nJoin this class to learn: stitches\, terminology\, tools\, diagrams\, written patterns\, finishing and more. These skills will help you complete an endless amount of items for yourself\, gifts\, home decor and toys. Crochet is a fantastic mobile pastime that you can do almost anywhere: Car rides\, waiting rooms\, TV time or anywhere you find yourself wanting to create over scrolling. Plus\, you will end up with a useful finished product to be proud of. \nThis first round of classes will focus on skills and fundamentals\, and finishing a small project at the end.
